"It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God." – II Chronicles 5:13-14
1 John 4:19 tells us “we love because He first loved us.” Matthew 2 speaks of magi on a quest. One of them asked “Where is the one who has been born, King of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship Him.” The babe this man was referring to was Jesus, the one who would take on the sins of the world on that cross at Calvary. He poured out His life so that we might enjoy life everlasting. Because He first loved us, we love Him. Worship is love in its purest state. Our adoration of the King of Kings is manifested through our worship. He is worthy of our praise. His grace is stronger than the bondage of sin. He is mighty to save.
Here at HighPointe, worship of our God is paramount. When we meet together, our praises of thanksgiving transcend this world and reach all the way to Heaven. As we come together in music and song, we honor our Lord. It fills us with joy to bring Him our best. As a church, we are committed to giving God all that we have. This ministry hopes to break through the stereotype that “worship” has acquired and create music that is led and fed by the Spirit of God. We desire to use the talents that God has given us to lead people closer to Him. It brings us joy to see people enjoying the freedom Christ has given them; singing with hands outstretched and faces filled with peace.The High Pointe Music Teams' purpose is to glorify God and to humbly serve Him as ministers of music. To lead others into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship through excellent music and a pure love and devotion to Him. Our vision and desire is to reach out to the Heber Valley, Provo, Park City, Salt Lake City and the world through different events for: Worship, Praise & Prayer evenings; concerts; Inspirational CDs; Plays; Musicals; Praise In The Park and other various community and cultural events.
